Thank heaven for the Royal Danish Air Force!

The majority of the world's population is probably ignorant of the fact that the European Team-Handball Championships is presently underway in Norway. They are in fact most likely completely ignorant of the existence of the sport, and probably think of handball as a game played against a wall.

The Royal Danish Air Force, however, is well aware of the events underway in Norway and have manned their battle stations (OK, OK 'battle stations' is a Navy expression, but since i don't know what the Air Force mans (or if they in fact man anything at all), I'll call it battle stations).

According to this article in the Danish newspaper Politiken, the Danish Air Force is ready to send two F-16 fighter jets to escort the chartered plane that will fly the Danish team home, if Denmark is able to progress from the semi-final tomorrow against Germany and win the final on Sunday.

We can all rest assured tonight!

Election Blues.

My last post is testament to 2 things:

1) 2.30 AM is too early in the morning to blog, and 2) I too often get carried away by my emotions.

I should not have let Obama's victory in Iowa make me believe that the Democrats would actually nominate candidate that could win the presidency...

No more hoping, no more dreaming for me!

Camelot lost.

Thats it, I'm finished with politics.

What a fool I am, starting to get exited about a political candidate. Although I prefer John Edwards to Barack Obama, I had come to accept that Edwards wasn't going to win the Democratic nomination. Obama's victory in Iowa made me think that maybe, just maybe, Obama was the real thing. A Democrat with ideas and the ability to win elections.

I even went out yesterday and bought Obama's book 'The Audacity of Hope" with the voucher to Borders I'd been given as a Birthday gift.

And now he's losing New Hampshire after the polls had him wining by a margin of 10!
